The Burj al-Sebi is located to the south of Baniyas, near the Qalaat al-Marqab. The single tower would have overlooked the main coastal roadway, protecting access to the port and therefore the fortress of Qalaat al-Marqab.
Constructed coterminously with the nearby Crusader castle, the tower is made up of two floors. It remains fairly well-preserved.
